New Billing module with payment links and Pix Boleto issuance via API

Full control of your billing: manage one-off payments, apply interest and late fees flexibly and scale Pix Boleto generation via API.

Manage one-off receivables, set up interest and late fees, and scale Pix Boleto issuance via API.

Hello, we have important news for your operation!

In this update, we focused on bringing more efficiency and control to your collection process. Trio’s new Billing module is now available! From now on, you can manage one-off charges even more completely, with payment link generation, boleto issuance and detailed configuration of financial parameters.

    Check out the details:

The new option lets you create one-off charges (single transactions with a fixed amount) and automatically generates a payment link you can share with your customer, so they can pay through an external checkout.

    2. Payment flexibility: Pix and boleto

Give your payer the power of choice. When you create the charge, you can enable payment via boleto (Brazil’s bank payment slip), Pix (Brazil’s instant payment system) or both. At checkout, the experience adapts to the choice:

    • Pix: Instantly displays the QR code and the “Copia e Cola” (copy-and-paste) code.
    • Boleto: Shows the traditional Pix Boleto barcode

    Pix Boleto

To provide maximum flexibility and avoid friction at payment time, every boleto issued through Trio comes with a Pix QR code on the document itself. So even if the option initially chosen is the boleto, your customer can still pay instantly via Pix if they prefer!

    3. Automate receivables with Pix Boleto via API

Building on these billing updates, we’re officially rolling out a robust, scalable solution to all our clients: automated Pix Boleto issuance via integration.

If your business handles a high volume of incoming payments, generating charges manually isn’t the best way to go. With our API, your system (ERP) talks directly to Trio, eliminating repetitive tasks and automating your payment pipeline.

    Key advantages:

    • Full customization per customer: You can generate charges in batches but send different parameters for each one. You can set amounts, interest, late fees and due dates specific to each customer, based on the data already in your ERP.
    • Instant, transparent generation: The integration lets your system send a command and receive the URL of the generated Pix Boleto in real time. This is ideal for flows that require a fast response for the end user, such as registering a new subscription or service. In these cases, your system triggers the charge and our API instantly returns the boleto link, ready to be sent by email or displayed on the checkout screen for your customer, however you prefer to customize it.
    • Multiple issuance with future due dates: The API is ready to receive commands to issue multiple documents at once, with different amounts, due dates and rules according to your ERP data, making long-term payment management easier. When a customer signs up for an ongoing service, such as an annual plan or an installment booklet (carnê), for example, your system can generate all 12 Pix Boletos in a single request, already setting the due dates for each of the following months with the interest and late-fee rules you defined for that customer.

To explore the technical details of the integration, understand the issuance parameters and connect your system, see the official Trio API documentation.

    4. Complete management: interest, late fees and invoices

Directly in Internet Banking, you can set interest (percentage) and late fees (fixed amount or percentage), parameters that apply to the charge regardless of the payment method chosen (Pix or boleto). In addition, the platform generates an official invoice for the transaction, which serves as a formal billing document and also contains the integrated payment link.

The invoice works as a billing document: you can send your customer the invoice for a one-off charge, and they can open the payment link directly from it.

Integration with your ERP: Use the External ID field when creating your charge. This customizable identifier makes it easier to reconcile and organize your charges in your ERP system.

    5. How to create a one-off charge

The creation flow is direct and intuitive:

    1. Open the creation menu and set the destination account.
    2. Enter the charge details (title, amount and payment method).
    3. Set the due date (the earliest date the system allows is the next day, which ensures correct processing).
    4. Fill in the payer’s required details (name, CPF, email and phone). Note: When you enable the boleto option, the address becomes required.
    5. Review the summary, confirm and you’re done! Your link and invoice will be available.
    6. You can also easily track the status of each transaction (Created, Paid or Overdue) directly in the charge details.

    6. Tracking charge status

To make managing your cash flow easier, you can track the status of each transaction visually and directly in the charge details. The system lets you view and filter your charges by status:

    • Created: The charge has been generated and is awaiting payment.
    • Paid: The payment was received successfully.
    • Overdue: The payment deadline has passed.

That way, you have full control over what has already come in and what is still pending, all in the same interface.

While the API handles the heavy, intelligent automation behind the scenes, the new Billing module in Internet Banking is there for you to manage one-off and occasional charges visually. Two solutions to give your finance team full autonomy!

We hope you enjoy the new features!

    Until next time,

The Trio app is available for Android and iOS! Your access is now multiplatform

Approve transactions and check balances wherever you are.

Hello, we have important news for your operation!

In this update, we focused on taking Trio beyond the desktop. The Trio app is available for Android and iOS, and from now on you can access your account, track your balances and manage approvals right from your phone, without depending on a computer to keep your operation moving.

    Check out the details:

    1. Trio app: available for Android and iOS

The Trio app is now available for download in the app stores, compatible with Android and iOS. With it, your financial operation is accessible from anywhere: at the office, on the go or outside business hours.

To download it, go to Google Play or the App Store using the direct links below:

    2. Real-time approvals, wherever you are

For account administrators, the app offers the full approvals queue: view pending requests, check the details of each transaction and approve or reject them right from your phone, with the same traceability as the web platform. No operation has to wait for a manager to be in front of a computer anymore.

You can also review the history of completed approvals, with full visibility into who approved what and when, keeping control of the operation even from a distance.

*The approvals queue in the app is available to the administrator profile. The restriction to the administrator profile will be lifted with the new approval rules panel, which is in development.

    3. Consolidated balance view

The balance of all your accounts is available in the app in real time, with a consolidated view by entity, exactly as you already see it in Internet Banking. For operations with multiple CNPJs (company tax IDs), you can also switch between entities right from the home screen.

    4. One credential for every environment

There’s no need to create a new login or memorize another password. With the same credentials you use for Internet Banking, you can sign in to the app right away, with no re-registration and no extra setup. The app and Internet Banking work as a single environment, accessible from different devices.

Beyond these updates, we’ve made internal security and stability improvements to ensure the best performance for your business.

We hope you enjoy the new features!

    Until next time,

Improved batch payments, a new settings menu and more flexible statements

More autonomy with new approval rules, tax payments and full control of your financial flows.

Hello, there’s something new in your Internet Banking!

In this update, we focused on giving your operation more autonomy and security. We’ve made significant improvements to the batch payments module and expanded what you can do with tax and utility bill payments.

    Check out the details:

    Faster, more controlled batch payments

We’ve revamped the batch processing experience. You can now review every detail of the file before confirming submission, avoiding errors and duplicates. We’ve also made infrastructure improvements that ensure greater stability and faster settlement of your transactions.

You can also download the receipt for the full batch, or the individual receipts grouped in a single file, which speeds up your day-to-day work.

    Boleto, utility and tax payments

We’ve raised the limit for paying boletos (Brazil’s bank payment slips), which can now reach R$250,000* directly on the platform. You can also centralize all cash outflows in one place and pay electricity, water and phone bills and federal taxes (DARF) through your Internet Banking.

*For amounts above R$250,000, contact your account manager.

At Trio, your security comes first. That’s why we’ve implemented Approval Rules for boletos, which ensure no payment is cleared without the account administrators’ sign-off.

    Centralized settings

To make the technical management of your account easier, we’ve created a new Settings and Integration menu. Now, in a single place, you can access:

    - Account details and user profile;

    - Webhook management;

    - API keys for integrating with your ERP or internal system.

    Statement and view improvements

Viewing your cash flow is now more flexible. You can now see up to 31 days of statement on screen for proprietary accounts and 1 day for transactional accounts, all directly in the interface.

Need a longer period? You can download statements covering up to 90 days in CSV or OFX format.

    Receivables advance and supplier finance

Need some breathing room in your cash flow? Request activation of the Receivables Advance and Supplier Finance (risco sacado) modules. To turn these features on, just talk to your account manager directly through the platform.

Beyond these updates, we’ve made a number of internal security and stability improvements to ensure the best performance for your business.

We hope you enjoy the new features!

    Until next time,

    New Internet Banking dashboard

Fewer clicks, more decisions: Trio's Internet Banking dashboard has changed.

    Hello!

Trio’s Internet Banking has a new dashboard, and the change goes far beyond looks. We’ve moved from a standard transactional interface to an insight-driven dashboard, where the most important information about your operation shows up right away, without navigating between multiple screens.

The goal: fewer clicks, more clarity, faster decisions.

    Accounts area

As soon as you open Internet Banking, you’ll find a consolidated view of balances, cash flow and positions by account. Each account shows its individual balance, and a chart breaks down inflows, outflows and cumulative balance, with filters by day, week, month and year.

You can view a specific account or all of them at once. Your selection applies to every chart on the dashboard.

When getting started, customers can select which account they want to view individually in the charts, or choose to view all of them at once, combining the data shown.

It’s important to note that the account selection affects every view.

    Transactions area

An interactive chart consolidates withdrawal, deposit and refund volumes, with the same period filters. All in one place.

    Operations area

Four cards show your operation’s latency metrics in real time:

    • Average QR code generation time
    • Average QR code payment time
    • Average deposit notification time
    • Average withdrawal notification time

The section is rounded out by a conversion rate chart and a table of third-party bank outages in the selected period.

    Side menu improvements

Two important changes. First, a dedicated approvals tab, bringing pending items and completed processes together in one place to make control and auditing easier.

Second, the documents tab has been split into incoming payments (cash-in) and outgoing payments (cash-out), so you can view each flow separately with its transactions and receipts.

    Other updates

New feature: digitized signatures on the bank confirmation letter report.

Bug fixes: escrow accounts removed from transfer screens · timezone corrected to America/São_Paulo in charts · external ID added to the MEMO field in the OFX statement · internal transfers included in the OFX statement · cashback type mapped in the balances report · permissions reviewed for editing the finance email and disputing Pix transactions · audit trail improvements · error message for phone authentication in the sandbox.

We hope you enjoy the new features!

    Until next time,

    The Trio Team.

    Biometric Pix

The most anticipated product in the payments market, and how it will be delivered to make businesses more innovative

    Hello 👋

At Trio, we’re committed to advancing payments through Pix, Brazil’s instant payment system and the fastest, most secure and most traceable payment method there is.

The Biometric Pix technology built by Trio’s engineering team lets your customer, once enrolled, pay with just their biometrics, with no extra steps. At checkout, the user simply selects Biometric Pix and completes the payment.

The idea is to bring the experience of wallets such as Apple Wallet, Google Pay and Samsung Pay to your Pix checkout.

    Why is it more secure?

Trio’s Biometric Pix is secure because it uses WebAuthn, an open API developed by the FIDO Alliance and the W3C that enables passwordless user authentication for online services and web applications.

Users’ devices also rely on these protocols and standards to perform biometric authentication. This means the user’s phone holds a private key, which is verified at the time of the transaction. It works as a mathematical proof that the payment was signed by a specific device, with that person’s biometrics.

For security reasons, Trio, as a Payment Institution audited and regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), has no access to any key, biometric data, photo or fingerprint of the user making the payment.

    How does it work?

The user’s first payment requires a registration with the bank that unlocks this type of payment (Biometric Pix), a standard step for this payment method called enrollment.

After this initial enrollment, the user starts the payment process, which, when done through Trio’s Biometric Pix, will be the same every time the customer wants to make a new payment.

    Implementing it is very simple

Trio’s technology provides an embeddable SDK that can easily be added to your payment checkout. It’s plug and play and requires only a few settings. This SDK can include all three payment options:

    • ✅ Standard Pix
    • ✅ Pix via Open Finance (Pay with app)
    • ✅ Biometric Pix

You, our customer, can install the SDK and get everything ready to start using Biometric Pix:

    Until next time,

  6. An invitation from Trio's CTO to Elixir Curitiba 2025

The event fills a gap: fostering discussion and exchange among developers who use the programming language in Brazil.

Sharing cases and experiences about the tools used to build Trio with Elixir will be one of the highlights of a major meetup taking place on November 8, 2025, with support from UTFPR (the Federal University of Technology – Paraná) and professor Adolfo Neto. Anyone who wants to build stable systems that can handle high volume, using the latest innovations in programming, is invited to join.

    Join: Elixir Curitiba 2025

    Why attend?

In professional development, the growth journey is continuous, and it begins with recognizing the need for constant learning. It’s essential to seek knowledge and inspiration from others, cultivate professional relationships and identify with the community’s best practices. Sharing experiences and learning together are pillars of individual and collective growth: that’s why Trio is the main sponsor of this meetup.

“The first step to growing as professionals is recognizing that we always need to learn from other people. Recognizing our need for connection, identification and inspiration from others.” With these words, Trio’s CTO, Manoel de Oliveira Souza, explains the financial technology company’s support for the event, which promises to bring together Elixir enthusiasts in Curitiba. Manoel will give an exclusive talk at the event on the 8th.

Manoel’s journey as a developer began in 1998, and since 2019 he has been dedicated to Elixir. The language has allowed him to apply and expand much of the knowledge he gained throughout his career, offering significant breadth and freedom to experiment and innovate. Still, it’s important to note that every programming language has its advantages and disadvantages. The key to success lies in making the most of the advantages and developing effective strategies to work around the disadvantages.

According to Trio’s CTO, one of Elixir’s greatest contributions is its ability to abstract away concerns about the structural details of code, letting developers focus on issues that matter more to the business. The underlying technology already offers robust solutions to many structural challenges, freeing up time and energy for innovation and for delivering value to the customer. This approach not only streamlines the development process but also raises the quality of the final product, ensuring that the focus is always on what really matters for the success of the project and of the company.

    Recurring Pix API

Add it to your checkout in just a few hours!

    Hello 👋

At Trio, we’re committed to advancing payments through Pix, Brazil’s instant payment system and the fastest, most secure and most traceable payment method there is. We know that recurring credit card payments are a pain point for many companies, for many reasons:

    • Highly exposed to fraud;
    • High fees charged by gateways and sub-acquirers;
    • Difficulty processing chargebacks with the card network;
    • Advancing receivables comes with even more fees, and so on.

Recurring billing via Pix has therefore become a pressing need for many customers, especially in sectors such as e-commerce, education, platforms and monthly subscription services, among others.

The Pix Automático product (automatic recurring Pix) was launched in June by the Central Bank of Brazil, and only a few institutions offer an API for it.

The main advantage of Recurring Pix is that, unlike traditional direct debit, it offers more flexibility and control, enabling instant recurring payments that don’t depend on business days or banking hours.

How does it work for the end customer?

Formats: Consumers can pay with Recurring Pix in three ways: by scanning a QR code, using the “Pix Copia e Cola” (copy-and-paste code) option or receiving a notification in their bank’s app.

Rules: After choosing how to activate it, they can set some rules, such as the maximum amount of each payment and whether to authorize the use of an extra limit (such as an overdraft) if there isn’t enough balance in the account.

Scheduling: From then on, the company sends the charge to its bank a few days before the due date. The payment is scheduled automatically, and the user receives a notification confirming the schedule.

Cancellation: All information is available in the bank’s app, and if the user disagrees with the charge, they can cancel it until 11:59 PM on the day before the payment.

Payment: On the due date, the bank makes the automatic debit according to the defined rules.

What’s more, everything can be managed directly in the bank’s app, with no need to contact the company to change or cancel a payment.
