Recurring Pix: automating billing for financial efficiency
Bring your business closer to recurring billing without credit cards, with the help of methods like SPIN, JTBD and Impact Mapping.

Pix Automático (or Recurring Pix) is a new feature of Pix, Brazil’s instant payment system, launched by the Central Bank in June 2025. It enables recurring payments after the user’s initial authorization, making it easier to pay bills such as water, electricity, phone, tuition and subscriptions by scheduling payments for set dates.
Is it the same as direct debit?
Yes, but far more accessible to the vast majority of companies, whatever their size.
Unlike DDA (Brazil’s electronic direct debit and boleto presentment system), Pix Automático lets customers of any financial institution that participates in Pix authorize automatic payments, with no need for agreements between the bank and the company.
Benefits:
Convenience: no more making recurring payments by hand.
Practicality: makes it easier to keep everyday bills organized.
Control: users can manage and cancel authorizations whenever they want.
Security: payments are made only with prior authorization and notice to the user.
Broad access: available at many financial institutions.
