New Billing module: autonomy and flexibility for your cash flow

Managing your company’s incoming payments just got smarter. We’ve launched our new Billing module, a solution designed to bring payment links, Pix, boletos and late-payment management together in a single interface.

We know that operations focused on efficiency need to offer convenience to their customers while keeping internal controls organized. With this update, we’ve turned what used to be just issuing a document into a complete billing management ecosystem.

1. Payment link

The power of choice at checkout

One of the highlights of the new module is the flexibility you can now offer the payer. When you create a charge, you can choose to accept payment via Pix (Brazil’s instant payment system), via boleto (Brazil’s bank payment slip), or enable both and leave the final decision to your customer.

The payment experience adapts dynamically:

  • If the customer chooses Pix, the screen instantly shows the QR code and the Pix “Copy and Paste” code.
  • Boleto with built-in Pix: as is already standard on our platform, if the customer chooses boleto, the document still includes a QR code for payment via Pix. That keeps things as convenient as possible if your customer changes their mind at the last minute and prefers to pay instantly.

2. Pix Boleto

Automate receivables with Pix Boleto via API

Alongside these billing updates, we’re officially rolling out a robust, scalable solution to all our clients: automated issuance of Pix Boletos (boletos that also carry a Pix QR code) through integration.

If your business handles a high volume of incoming payments, creating charges by hand isn’t the best way to go. With our API, your system (ERP) talks directly to Trio, eliminating repetitive tasks and automating your entire payment pipeline, with exclusive advantages:

  • Full customization per customer: you can create charges in batches and send different parameters for each one. Set amounts, interest, late fees and due dates specific to each customer, based on the data already in your ERP.
  • Instant, transparent generation: in flows that need a fast response, such as signing up a new subscription or service, your system sends the command and our API returns the URL of the generated Pix Boleto in real time. It comes back ready to be sent by email or displayed to the customer on the checkout screen.
  • Multiple issuance with future due dates: managing long-term payments just got much easier. When a customer signs up for an annual plan or an installment booklet, for example, your system can generate all 12 Pix Boletos in a single request. The API sets the due dates for the following months and applies the interest and late-fee rules you defined.

Managing late payments

In this module, you can also configure interest (as a percentage) and late fees (as a percentage or a fixed amount) for overdue payments.

Our big technological differentiator is that these financial rules are tied to the charge as a whole. In other words, the fees you configure apply whether the customer pays by boleto or by Pix.

4. Interest, late fees and invoices

Full control: invoices, status and integration

Invoices work as a detailed, professional billing statement and already include the payment link itself.

Managing your cash flow is also much more visual now. Right in the charge details, you can track and filter the status of each transaction in real time: Created (awaiting payment), Paid (successfully received) or Overdue.

6. Billing status

And for your finance team, which needs a clean reconciliation at month-end, this step also lets you use the “External ID”, an identifier that lets you add custom codes to organize charges and integrate them easily with your ERP.

Trio’s new billing ecosystem was designed to keep pace with your business, whether your operation needs visual simplicity day to day or robust infrastructure to scale to thousands of payments.
