Trio Investimentos launches with a focus on excellence in asset management

The Brazilian financial market has a new house dedicated to asset management: Trio Investimentos, an independent asset manager that sets out to offer sophisticated solutions aligned with global best practices in investment, governance and capital allocation.

Headed by Fabio Streitemberger Fabro and Gabriel Arend Timm, Trio Investimentos combines technical depth, international experience and a proven track record in structuring and managing wealth for high-profile investors.

Leadership with a track record of building and performing

Fabio is Investment Director at Trio Gestora de Recursos and brings extensive experience in wealth management, structured credit, multi-asset funds and securitization vehicles. An entrepreneur and executive, he has a track record of creating, growing and consolidating businesses in the financial market. He was a founding partner of JFK Investimentos, one of the fastest-growing independent investment advisory firms in the XP Inc. ecosystem, and founder of Inccount Securitizadora, a digital platform focused on supply chain finance solutions for small and midsize companies.

Since 2020, he has worked as a wealth manager in a multifamily office model, managing proprietary funds and portfolios for high-net-worth clients, with operations that today total hundreds of millions of dollars under his advice and management. His work includes strategic merger negotiations, structuring investment funds, designing corporate governance processes and developing asset analysis and allocation models, always leading multidisciplinary teams in complex, highly regulated environments.

Fabio has a strong academic background: he is an ANBIMA-certified portfolio manager, holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a master’s in Economics and Finance from FGV-EESP, and is a mechanical engineer from UFPR. His international experience includes time at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (Germany) and participation in leadership programs such as Young Leaders of America (U.S. Department of State), Ship for World Youth (Cabinet Office of Japan) and the Young Founders Program (Westerwelle Foundation, Germany).

Strategic allocation with a global view

Complementing Fabio’s leadership, Gabriel Arend Timm takes on the role of Allocation Director at Trio Gestora de Recursos. Gabriel has international experience in portfolio management and in structuring financial products for institutional and high-net-worth investors.

His career includes work at a large family office in New York, where he was responsible for analyzing and managing global equity portfolios, allocating to third-party funds and monitoring international managers. He also gained experience in private equity, taking part directly in investment and divestment deals, including an IPO process in the European market.

Over his career, Gabriel has built expertise in fundamental analysis, financial modeling, valuation and risk management, working on both long-only and long/short equity strategies. Following global hedge funds closely gave him an in-depth view of different management styles and market cycles, an essential skill for consistent long-term allocation decisions.

Gabriel holds a degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Paraná and a master’s from Duke University in the United States, where he was a scholarship recipient. He has also completed academic programs at Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley.
